I'm a television producer and hired Brian to illustrate a personalized book that was a gift to the showrunner. The book was an original story based on the experience of producing the show and Brian's illustrations brought everything together. After just one conversation he understood the humor in the story as well as which story beats the illustrations would be the most powerful highlighting. With Brian as a collaborator the book became one of the most unique mementos the showrunner had ever received. Brian and I repeated the process after every season of the show that followed, each with a new plot/story and inventive illustrations.
